Zenn Viljoen

Zenn Viljoen

Music. Movement. Expression. Food. Fire. Gees.

Join us at ForesTT for an afternoon of intentional connection, primal movement, and communal warmth. Nestled under the ancient, twisted canopy of the milkwood forest, we invite you to shed and return to yourself.

The Flow

  • 15:00 | The Arrival: Arrive early to settle into the stillness of the trees.

  • 15:30 | Cacao & Connection: We begin with a Check-In Ceremony. With small cups of ceremonial cacao or tea, we will welcome one another into the space, ask the forest for safe passage, and formally announce our presence in the circle.

  • The Silent Dance: As the ceremony closes, we transition into movement. Zenn Viljoen will play a live set designed to move through you. Under the canopy, we remain silent—We leave our words at the edge of the tree line so our bodies can speak louder. You are encouraged to move, dance, and be entirely free in your expression.

  • The Regroup: Once the music fades, we gather back in the circle to "check-out," sharing what arose during the movement and grounding ourselves back in the collective.

  • Fire & Feast: The evening transitions into "Gees." We’ll light the fire, share a nourishing vegan meal, and enjoy the magic of the forest at dusk. Find a quiet nook for a deep conversation or join in if a spontaneous jam session breaks out.

Logistics & Giving

  • Contribution: A suggested donation of R100 for the musician is appreciated to support live artistry, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

  • Sustainance: Please confirm your attendance and meal selection for catering purposes.

  • Space: To keep the experience intimate and the forest floor protected, numbers are limited.

To make the most of the afternoon and stay comfortable from the cacao ceremony through to the fireside feast, we suggest bringing:

  • A Throne for the Trees: A comfortable camping chair or a thick floor cushion/zabuton for the circle.

  • Hydration: A reusable water bottle to keep you flowing during the dance.

  • The "Forest Layer": Even on warm days, the Milkwood canopy holds the cool air. Bring a warm jersey or a cozy blanket for the post-dance cool-down and fireside hangout.

  • Natural Movement Wear: Clothes that allow you to stretch, dance, and sit on the earth comfortably.

  • An Open Heart: And perhaps an instrument, if you’d like to join the potential jam session after the meal.

  • Eco-Consciousness: We aim to leave ForesTT exactly as we found it. Please bring a mindset of "leave no trace."

Be Prepared

  • Treads for the Trails: We love a barefoot dance, but the forest floor has character. Bring shoes for navigating the roots between the dance floor and the fire.

  • A Beam of Light: When the fire burns low and the "gees" is high, the walk back to reality can be dark. Pack a torch or headlamp to light your path out of the woods.

  • The "Bug Off" Buffer: The Milkwoods are home to many spirits, some of which have six legs and an appetite. Bring some natural insect repellent so you can focus on the music, not the critters.
